Feb/08 FCG Helps Forward-Thinking Non-Profit Fleming Creative Group recently completed a pro bono branding project for a non-profit that envisions nothing less than building a generation of creative leaders who inspire others to work towards peace. Since 2004, Peace it Together has been facilitating summer camps on Canada's West Coast that bring together youth from Palestine, Israel, and Canada to create short films about the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
Working together, campers confront and question tough issues as they collaborate to create films that will inspire and transform. When they return home, Peace it Together works with the youth to become community leaders, using the films they created as educational tools.
As Peace it Together looked to expand its programs and attract new donors and youth participants, they turned to FCG for some branding SOS. Touched by Peace it Together's innovative path to peace, we donated our design services to help boost public awareness and push this inspirational organization to the next level. Our printing partner, Rhino Print Solutions, also generously donated printing costs.
We quickly got to work on a complete brand overhaul, including a new logo, stationery package, event invitations, website, dvd packaging, and 'swag.' Launched just weeks ago, the new identity has been a hit, garnering universal praise and a donation of $25,000 from Steven Spielberg's Righteous Persons Foundation noted in the January 11, 2008 issue of the Globe and Mail.
For more details on our work for Peace it Together, check out our blog posting or visit Peace it Together's website where you can learn more about the organization, view the youth-made films, and hopefully consider contributing yourself to Summer 2008's Bowen Island camp.
