Top Student Spends Summer at FCG

We are incredibly fortunate to have Eric Chan, a student in Carleton University’s Bachelor of Information Technology Interactive Multimedia Design program, join us for the summer. We believe in supporting emerging talent in the design and technology community and Eric Chan is among the best in the country.

Eric is a hybrid new media artist whose work has already received the Macromedia Innovation Award, several Flash awards, the 2006 FITC (FlashintheCan) Best Canadian Student portfolio, and was a finalist in the 2007 FITC Self-Promotional category. Influenced by Japanese print, graffiti, and music, Eric’s work explores the creative intersections of art and technology. Truly multimedia in nature, his art extends to a variety of platforms including websites, apparel, displays, gallery exhibits, magazines, print art, and film posters. His work has been displayed in both solo and group shows across North America, UK, and Asia.

Eric will be working with the team at Switch Interactive, Fleming Creative Group’s new media division, contributing to Switch’s multi-disciplinary projects for film, TV, and other entertainment-based clients. With a diploma in Computer Science already under his belt and a growing list of awards and accolades to his credit, Eric is an accomplished and versatile designer who is certain to be a valuable addition to the interactive group.
