Oct/06 Nintendo Takes a Stand Nintendo of Canada challenged us with making their product stand out in an increasingly cluttered retail environment. Fleming Design answered with a series of eye-catching standee displays that commanded attention and helped drive sales.
Our standees are mobile, feature striking designs with endless possibilities, and are quick and easy to assemble. Through innovative engineering, all our displays simply unfold and snap together as a single unit, without any instructions or tools required. Fleming Design's most recent and talked about creations illustrate how, through creative and targeted design, the standee becomes a highly effective Point of Purchase element.
Nintendogs Standee
Nintendogs became Nintendo of Canada's most successful game of 2005 - how could gamers resist once they saw how adorable the puppies were? The standee, designed around a Nintendo Red fire hydrant, was a customer and employee favourite, getting top placement on the shop floor in many Zeller's locations. In fact, many of the standees mysteriously disappeared!
DS Library Standee
This uniquely shaped standee was designed to promote third-party games for the Nintendo DS. The metallic design was used to illustrate the feel of speed and the more mature nature of these games. At six feet tall, it demanded that customers take notice...and they did!
GameCube Library
The GameCube Library Standee is a perfect example of how innovative the creative for a standee can become. This piece actually folds out at a 45-degree angle giving the illusion of a city corner block. The result was top placement in the crowded retail environment. Contrary to its appearance, this standee folds easily into an individual package, allowing for easy mobility to any store location.
