Nov/02 Fleming Website Wins at Lotus Awards The victory was made all the sweeter knowing the quality of the judging.
Earlier in the Fall, a noted team of judges were invited up to Vancouver from the U.S. to look at the submissions in each of their respective categories. For the interactive category, judges included Thomas Mueller of Razorfish (design solutions for such clients as Charles Schwab, Ford Motor Company, Microsoft, Time Warner, Sony, and Simon & Schuster); Carol Trager, Chief Marketing Officer at Viant and ex Director of Marketing for lotus.com; and Michael Yapp, Creative Director for Freestyle (clients include Showtime, Miller, and Toys "R" Us.)
Fleming Design's site has evolved over the past year to include frequent showcase updates, a Client Extranet, and White Papers and other client information. For real estate development Callisto Vancouver, the Switch solution involved incorporating such interactive features as slideshows and streamed video.
Hats' off to designers Shane Fleming and Clinton Duke, writers Mary Beth McKenna and Martha Ophir, and programmers Mike Schimanowsky and Kelly Webb for inspired work. And lest we forget, great clients and the partners of Fleming Design who made sure that the branding program began at the front door (literally, with signage) and extended through all print and interactive work of the company.
