Just Launched: Switch Interactive

After operating in stealth mode for several months we're pleased to announce that Switch Interactive, a subsidiary of Fleming Design, is officially open for business. Our new venture, located in our downtown Vancouver office, will focus on front-end interactive design and digital storytelling.

Leading this new team of veteran Fleming employees is Catherine Winckler, Partner in Fleming Design.

Just out of the gate, Switch is already earning major kudos. Recently named as a finalist in the FlashForward 2001 awards for a co-produced online graphic novel, Broken Saints, Switch aims to unite new media technologies and compelling content for corporate and entertainment industry marketing.

Switch's first project will be a complete redesign of the corporate site for Relic Entertainment Inc., a leading developer of electronic entertainment software, including the best selling Homeworld. Switch was selected from a field of a dozen firms short-listed for the job.

What's next for Switch? Several projects are in the works, including the Relic redesign and an upcoming multimedia CD-ROM presentation for a major Vancouver developer. The company has also just hired new Interactive Developer Mike Schimanowsky who brings a truckload of tools and experience to the group, particularly in the areas of DHTML, PHP, and other interactive programming.
